2024 John Clayton Volunteer of the Year Recipients

At the December Board of Directors meeting, Nor-Gwyn recognized Chuck Leckner and Scott Holliday, recipients of the 2024 John Clayton Volunteer of the Year Award.

Chuck led the installation of safety nets on Lower Fields 2 & 4, one of our 2024 safety initiatives. Chuck also organized and helped tie up the nets at our Fall Field Clean Up Day.

Scott kept our fields looking great all season by mowing the fields each week. Instead of being paid, Scott asked that the funds saved go back to our James Sullivan Memorial fund which assists players facing registration hardship situations.

Taking time out of one’s schedule to assist the organization is one of the hallmarks of the Volunteer of the Year recognition. Thank you to both Chuck & Scott for your outstanding efforts and service to Nor-Gwyn.
